Licenses

The Node-Locked license (previously called the Stand-Alone license) allows activation of the software on a single computer. However, if needed, the license can be transferred to another device by deactivating it on the previous one. The Node-Locked license allows the use of Metashape software for all types of projects, both commercial and non-commercial.

The license is available for both individuals and legal entities, such as companies, museums, research institutes, government organizations, and more.

The Floating license allows the software to be installed on any number of computers and run simultaneously on as many systems as the number of licenses purchased. One computer (either web-based or local) is designated as the license server; the license server utility installed on it manages the distribution of licenses across the network of computers where the program is installed.

The Floating license is available only for Agisoft Metashape Professional Edition.

To support education in the field of photogrammetry, Agisoft offers Educational licenses to academic institutions. Please note that the Metashape license does not allow granting access to third parties, particularly via the Internet, including but not limited to web hosting, commercial time-sharing, service bureau, or similar services.

The Educational license of Agisoft Metashape Professional is intended exclusively for schools, colleges, and universities.

Important: Agisoft reserves the right to request written proof of eligibility at any time. Proof of eligibility is a legally binding written statement confirming that an organization or employer qualifies as an officially accredited educational institution. By ordering an Educational license, you agree to provide such proof upon request. If eligibility cannot be verified, you will be charged the price difference for a Node-Locked license.

There are no free licenses available for students. The only license students can obtain at a discounted price is the Educational license. Alternatively you can download the free trial version for 30 days.
